Susan Letts featured at Greenbuild Council Meeting Featured speaker at the next Greenbuild council is Susan Letts of Letts Landscape and Design. She is a Landscape Architect from Harbor Springs and very involved in Greenbuild type projects. The meeting will be at the LTAHB office on Tue, Aug 10 at 6:00pm, dinner provided.
Candidates Forum to be Held July 29 at NCMC Six community organizations are teaming up to host a Candidates’ Forum just prior to the Aug. 3rd primary election. The event will be held on Thu. July 29, at North Central Michigan College. The forum will feature candidates for the 1st U.S. Congressional District seat, the 37th State Senate seat, the 107th State House seat, and several Emmet County Commission races. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an open-house format where voters can meet one-on-one with the candidates. Then at 7:30 p.m., moderator Ken Winter will ask the candidates for the US and State seats to answer a brief question with a timed response. Those who cannot attend but would like to watch the forum can join the live video stream of the event that will be available at www.petoskeynews.com. Questions about the event can be directed to the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce at 347-4150.
