The Women's Council is dedicated to promoting, enhancing and supporting women in the home building industry. The NAGB Women's Council has 2,500 members and they are engaged in all aspects of home building. They are owners and employees of building companies, associates in banking, design and marketing, and participants in family-owned businesses.

Members join the council for many reasons. At the local level, members have the opportunity to network, participate in community service programs and attend targeted educational programs. At the national level, members receive professional development assistance, educational programming and leadership training. In addition, the Women's Council's "Women of the Future" grant program, sponsored by Merillat, awards educational grants to women pursuing continuing education in NAHB certification programs.
